I checked into a bunch of other blog hosts today and they all seemed to be geared for little school girls or full of there own ad's. Screw that! I'm sure there's another service out there that's good but I'm a man of limited patience with making something work on the puter. I signed up for a couple other blog sites just to find out the pic storage is limited to 2GB. I don't even think that would last a month. Not even worth getting started.

I had to create a new AOL account and email to make this work. The old bluecollarmoto@aol.com will still be the only email I ever check so don't send anything to the one listed in my profile. I'll post it at the top of the side bar this time around. This is going to take some time to get things rolling like the old blog but at least its going to happen without costing a bunch of cash.

Now this is news to me. I didn't know there was a limit to how many pix you could download. This is just turning out to be a bad day all around. Except for Andy from Classic Cycles letting me borrow a Triumph clutch hub puller for my 79 Bonny. Thanks a bunch Andy! You the man!

In around five more days this place would be around 100,000 hits. There are 2306 posts as of now and apparently over 4000 pix. According to Blogger/Google. All this in just under a year. Now they want money every year to continue posting pix. Well fuck that!

I could just start posting over on my Blue Collar Moto Photo blog that Ive been slacking on or start another one. Blue Collar Moto 2.

In case you don't know who he is. Hes the guy with the biggest balls of them all! He rode a balloon up to 102,000 feet and jumped out! I saw a documentary on him once with allot of camera footage of this record jump from the edge of space. He was not at all like today's dare devils. You would never catch him shoving a Hotwheel up his ass and rolling down a hill in a porta john while midgets shoot flaming arrows at him. There's some good footage of him doing this on youtube. There weren't as many bikes as last year. A lot of people were doing the family thing I guess. But still there were more than enough killer bikes and cool people to keep my camera busy!

I wound up taking over 250 shots between drinks and Brownie breaks. As usual I'll be posting them up here over the next week or two.

The Horse came out and shot this bike a couple few issues ago. One day they may even put it in the mag. Here's a sneak peak of Kit's killer Triumph. Those of us here in So Cal have been diggin on it for the past couple years.

Hittin the road in about a half hour for this years blowout.

Ive had a bunch of practice taking pix since last years shindig with the new camera. Looking forward to getting a shitload of images tonight! Better than last years.

I would like to say there is one and only one party here in So Cal of the summer you cant miss out on. But I'm glad I cant say that! The Bash was soooo much fun, especially with Kutty's pre party startin it off. Thanks again for all that free Pizza man! The DicE Party's are, well, There DicE Party's! What more is there to say? The Larouche party's have always been so much fun. Cant forget about the Street Chopper 40th party at Hanks! So I cant really say this is the BEST party of the summer. However, without a doubt it is a MUST attend and going to be a fucking real time!

As soon as we pulled in to the car show parking lot I saw this bad ass servicar! I was thinking "this is a good sign". Turned out there wasn't much there that I wanted to shoot and too crowded to get much of a shot anyway.

There were a few other bikes there but most of them were Twinkie Baggers.

We saw Earl there but they wouldn't let his bike in. Cops everywhere! We didn't stay long.

This FXR reminds me of the Samson Exhaust promo bike with this paint job on it. Kinda early Easy Riders.

Afterwards we rode over to Ports O Call to have some fish & Chips. Walked all threw the place and looked at all the nasty fish and lobsters drowning in filthy water. That place has gone to Hell since Shipwreck Joe's closed down. When I lived on my boat we would sail or drive over and eat some killer free happy hour food with a few pitchers of beer almost every day. Now they just need to bulldoze the place down and open a parking lot or something.

We wound up going over to Berth 54 for some shrimp tacos.

At least that place still rocks!

Killer sticky clutch tec!

Ive been having problems with my 79 Triumph clutch plates sticking together. Ive tried the kick it with the clutch lever pulled in method. Ive tried the rock the bike in 4th method. But getting them to unstick has been like trying to break up a pair of Bull Dogs doing the nasty while wearing a steak body suit! I finally did some damage doing a running start and dropping it into gear. I stripped the adjuster rod. No biggie to fix just a pain in the ass, but I did get a good tec tip out of the help thread I posted over on the JJ.

If your clutch plates stick every night then tie the clutch lever up over night!

So simple but so brilliant!

I see an industrial size bag of zip ties in my near future.

A REAL CHICAGO BEEF SANDWITCH SMOKED ON THE BBQ!

Man, I had some wood going for a real Chicago Italian Beef Sandwich last weekend when everyone met up at the Santa Fe Importers. The one I had there was good but not close to authentic. I thought I could do it better. Then I got the idea of adding a bit of antiquity to it and roast the meat over a wood fire. Hmmm, how could it get better than that?

Well, I don't have a wood fire pit. I'm stuck here in the Torrance burbs until the little girl graduates High School so I soaked some Hickory chips in some water for a few hours this morning while I was fucking off on here. The mix is 2 parts wet chips to 1 part dry. Wrap it in foil and poke some holes in it. Remove the side grate from the grill and plant her on top of the heat defector. Put the dry chips down. Don't over do the hole poking or you will get a high heat fire! It will go up to 500* if your not careful and fuck up everything! I was busy in the garage working on the Triumph and didn't check things as often as I should have. If you don't want to smoke it then you have to braze the meat in a cast iron skillet in some olive oil. This would be the way you get it these days most places in down town windy city. But like I said, I wanted the wood fire thing so....

You see a large wood chip filled foil wrap on the left side of the pic. Turn ONLY THE LEFT BURNER ON MEDIUM HIGH! Leave the other burners off. I put the roasting pan up on a SS bowl and a old Pizza tray to get it up high in the Q so it can take in all the smoke. If your not smoking the roast you should cover it now and turn one burner on high and put the roasting pan on the opposite side of the grill. This should give you a temp of 325. Flip the roast one time during the smoking process to get it even. Remember almost half of it is submerged in liquid.

Cook it until it will pull apart like a smoked pork shoulder. DONT OVER COOK IT! You should have to pull the meat apart with a fork and a pair of tongs. If it just falls apart then you fucked up! The meat will be dry as fuck no matter how much of the drippins you cover it with! Its already dead for Christs sake. Don't try to kill it again like most restaurants do! This is so simple to do and costs next to nothing! We get the $50.00 roast at Smart & Final and I butcher it myself at home. You get anywhere from 8-10 roasts out of this slab of meat! This whole deal cost around $9.oo to feed a family of five tonight. And I had two big ol' helpings! I'm a fat ass. What would you expect?

Now this is the part about living here in LA that fucks with me. Try and find good bread like in Chicago. Fuck me! Ive found that the little Kaiser Rolls at Ralph's are good if you toast them until they are almost burnt or just a little burnt around the edges. Then I double dip them in the pot, load them up with the goods and eat like a pig!

This was a small roast. 3-3 1/2 pounds.

I only used a half a green and red pepper Julianned in to thin strips.

I also used a half a small onion. I cut it small (but not minced) so it desolves into the broth.

Didn't have fresh Garlic so I used some dried bits.

Just a pinch of oregano.

One can of Chicken broth.

Water to 1/3 the way up the roast.

A splash of red whine or Sweet Vermouth

Salt and pepper.

One super small Chillino pepper.

(The smaller the hotter)

If Mary wasn't so sensitive to heat I would of added a scotch Bonnet.
